There are a few reasons why your check deposit via the BBA App may be declined. Below are some examples and possible ways to fix them:
• Unable to read the check.
Tip: Center the check image on your device’s screen, placing it directly over the check and not at an angle. Make sure the check image is in focus.
• The check image is too light or too dark.
Tip: Choose an environment with good lighting and place the check on a flat, dark-colored surface.
• Check not endorsed or not properly endorsed.
Tip: On the back of the check, you must write the following sentence “For BB Americas Bank Mobile Deposit Only” and, just below this sentence, you must include your signature.
• Checks with divergent numerical and written values.
Tip: Confirm that the numeric value matches the spelled-out value.
• Check not signed or dated by the issuer.
Tip: Make sure the check has the issuer’s signature and date of issue.
• Check issued more than 180 days.
Tip: Make sure the check issuance date is less than 180 days.
• Check completed in Portuguese.
Tip: Complete the check in English.
